The Preserves in Pixels: A Virtual Photo Exhibit and Panel Discussion

March 4, 2021: 6:00 PM7:30 PM

Please join the Friends community for our annual photo exhibit – one of our favorite events of the year – but with a whole new twist! Reserve your spot now for “The Preserves in Pixels: A Virtual Photo Exhibit and Panel Discussion” to be held live on Thursday, March 4, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. We’ll honor the winning photographers of the 11th Annual Photo Contest (2019) with a slideshow of all the winning photos followed by a panel discussion with the photographers themselves.

We’ll also be announcing the winners of the 12th Annual Photo Contest (2020), so you won’t want to miss this!

Enjoy personal glimpses of nature’s beauty wrapped up in the wings of the orange sulphur and painted lady butterflies, the jaws of a snapping turtle, and people immersed in their gorgeous surroundings – all taken right here in the forest preserves in Cook County!

Then get a sneak peak behind the lens! We’ll ask the panel how their winning photos came to be, what inspires them about nature photography, and what they love most about photographing in the forest preserves. We’ll also leave time for questions from the audience.

This event is free, but you must register to join.

Submit your photos to the 13th Annual Photo Contest! For more information, click here.
