Winter Restoration

Winter isn’t the most obvious choice for enjoying the forest preserves, but restoration is in full swing all season. Join us at a restoration workday and get some exercise removing invasive species. There are often snacks available around the brush pile fire after a good day’s work. Restoration is a great way to enjoy the preserves, while doing some good work, all through the cold months. The more time you spend in Cook County’s forest preserves, the more you’ll understand why we do what we do. Follow these links to find a steward group near you.
